Hello, my name is Kelsey. There are three things worth knowing about me:  1. I am an avid reader 2. I am a self-professed pessimist and 3. I am a wannabe-writer. I also greatly enjoy talking about my Siamese cat, Luna Lovegood, pretending like I know more about beer than I actually do, and settling in with a nice drink at the end of the day, particularly a Manhattan. In 2014, I graduated with my masters in fiction from USC before working a stint  as an editor in publishing and ultimately redirecting after realizing where my heart really lies: teaching. Currently, I am sitting on a 534 page novel, requiring heavy editing, some love and affection, along with a swift kick in the ass. Recently, I flew by myself to New York City to meet with agents about my manuscript: of the six that I met with, all six were interested. Now, I am on this crazy journey wherein I am officially trying to publish my book, the Third Ring, survive life as a teacher, and make it as a real life, professional writer (whatever that means). Cheers!
